The U.S. and Israel have discussed a potential mutual defence treaty to further cement the “tremendous” alliance between the two counties, U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday revealed on Twitter.

According to Trump, further discussions will take place after the Israeli elections, scheduled to be held on September 17.
