South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns and Morocco's Wydad Casablanca will renew their rivalry for a fourth straight season after both sides were drawn in the same group for the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League.

Algeria's USM Alger and Angola's Atlético Petróleos de Luanda are the other sides which complete the line-up in Group C.

Two years ago, Wydad eliminated Sundowns, the then defending champions, in the quarterfinals on penalties following a 1-1 draw on aggregate. Wydad then secured a win and a draw when they met again in 2018 in the group stage.

During the 2018/2019 tournament, both sides met again in the group stages with each recording a win at home. They met, again, in the semifinals of the same tournament with Wydad winning 2-1 at home and drawing 0-0 away in South Africa.

TP Mazembe (DR Congo), C.D. Primeiro de Agosto (Angola), Zesco United (Zambia) and the winner of the match between Egypt's Zamalek and Senegal's Génération Foot will occupy Group A.

Zamalek and Génération Foot are scheduled to play in a rearranged fixture on October 24 in Cairo.

FC Platinum of Zimbabwe was drawn in Group B alongside El Hilal (Sudan), Étoile du Sahel (Tunisia) and 8-time champions Al Ahly of Egypt.

Defending champions Espérance of Tunisia are grouped with three former winners: Raja Club Athletic (Morocco), JS Kabylie (Algeria) and AS Vita Club (DR Congo) in Group D.

The Confederation of African Football on Wednesday conducted the draw for the group stages of the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League at the Hilton Pyramids Golf in Cairo, Egypt.
