Nigeria and five-time world champions Brazil played out to a 1-1 draw in a friendly match at the Singapore National Stadium in Singapore on Sunday.

The Super Eagles took the lead in the 35th minute through Glasgow Rangers striker Joe Aribo.

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro levelled for the Brazilians three minutes after the restart.

Despite boasting 70 percent possession overall, Brazil failed to make their dominance count and settled for a second consecutive draw. On Thursday, Brazil was also held to a 1-1 draw by 2019 AFCON runners-up Senegal at the same venue.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar was substituted after just 12 minutes with a suspected thigh injury.

Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was stretchered off also with a suspected thigh problem after 62 minutes after landing awkwardly. he was replaced by Maduka Okoye.

The build-up to the match was dominated by the state of Nigerian football as speculation over coach Gernot Rohr's future heightened over claims of unpaid salaries.

However, the Nigerian Football Federation clarified that it did not owe Rohr three months' worth of salaries.

"As we speak, Mr. Rohr is only being owed salary for the month of September 2019, which is being processed," the NFF said on Friday.
