Nigeria and Angola were both eliminated from the 2019 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Brazil following respective defeats to the Netherlands and South Korea in the Round of 16.
In the first game of the round, debutants Angola lost 1-0 to South Korea at the at Estadio Olimpico in Goiania courtesy of a 33rd minute strike from Min-Seo Choi.
Five-time champions Nigeria were defeated 3-1 by the Netherlands at the Estádio Olímpico, Goiania, in the second game of the knockout stage.
Dutch forward Sontje Hansen opened the scoring in the 4th minute but Olakunle Olusegun equalised for the Golden Eaglets eight minutes later. However, further goals from Hansen three minutes later and a penalty 10 minutes from time proved decisive.
Unlike in its first two group games, Nigeria was unable to stage a comeback and will now wait for another attempt to extend its record title haul to six.
Hansen became the second player at this year's tournament to score a hat-trick after Nigeria's Ibrahim Said and now leads the scoring charts with five goals.
The Netherlands will face either Paraguay or Argentina while South Korea will play the winner of the game between Japan and Mexico in the quarterfinals.
Africa's remaining representative, Senegal, will play against Spain at the Estádio da Serrinha, Goiania, on Wednesday at 1630 hours local time.
