At least 22 people were killed in Tunisia in a tragic bus accident north of the country, the Interior ministry said on Sunday.
The ministry said that the bus – which was carrying tourists – was travelling from the capital Tunis to the Ain Snoussi region when it plunged into a ravine.
Reports indicate that the driver of the bus lost its control before it plunged into a valley.
Scored of other passengers are also said to have been injured in the accident and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The ministry did not say if there were any foreign tourists in the bus at the time of the accident, but the route is popular among Tunisians on regional excursions.
