Liverpool has included African trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Baby Keita in the 23-man squad for the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup scheduled to take place in Qatar later this month.

The Reds are scheduled to play two games in the tournament, with games scheduled for 18th and 21st December.

Cameroonian Defender Joel Matip has missed out as he is still recovering from a knee injury.

The Center-back has not featured for the Reds since the 1-1 draw with Manchester United on 20th October, and has missed his side's last nine games.

Brazilian Midfielder Fabinho has also not been included in the squad as he recovers from injury.

Liverpool are currently flying high in the Premier League having opened an eight point gap at the top.

The Reds have not lost a game in the English top flight so far, raking up 43 points from 15 games.

Mane leads the scoring charts for Liverpool having found the back of the net nine times and assisted four.

The Senegalese star's last goal came against derby rivals Everton on Wednesday 4th December, a game in which he also assisted two goals.
