A strike from Liverpool's Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah against Tottenham Hotspurs in February 2018 has been voted the club's best goal of the decade.
Liverpool released the result of the fan poll on Tuesday, showing Salah's goal to be the standout strike among ten memorable ones scored in the 2010s.
According to the club, almost 40,000 goals were cast, and Salah's deft individual dribble and finish in the last minutes of a frantic Premier League clash with Spurs at Anfield came out on top.
Collecting the ball at the right edge of the box, he shifted left and right to weave through the Tottenham defence at pace before instinctively lifting a finish over the goalkeeper – with the drama and joy heightened by the visitors having missed a penalty just moments earlier.
Salah's goal edged out Divock Origi's unforgettable winner in 2019's Champions League semi-final, second leg with Barcelona at Anfield.
The 27-year-old Egyptian has been one of the standout performers in Liverpool's revival back to the top end of world football.
The Merseyside club are the current World and European champions, the first time ever they are in possession of both trophies concurrently.
Since joining Liverpool in June 2017, Salah has scored 85 goals in all 131 appearances, one of the best goal tallies in Europe.
