INTERVIEW: Dispelling false information on COVID-19
CGTN

China’s fight against the COVID-19 is well underway, as medical experts labour to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

The latest move by authorities has seen Wuhan seal off all communities and put on a 24-hour-curfew on neighborhoods to prevent people from spreading or catching the disease.

As the fight continues however, there are concerns that unverified information is being spread, feeding people false information about the virus and the fight against it.

In this regard, CGTN anchors Beatrice Marshall and Richard Nta had a sit down on Monday to dispel any false information and reiterate the importance of verifying information in such cases.

Beatrice took note of the strong ties between Africa and China, reiterating the unity shown by both sides in the fight against COVID-19.
