Coronavirus: Third confirmed case in South Africa

South Africa has confirmed its third case of COVID-19 after results came out positive for yet another person.In a statement from the ministry of health and which was posted on twitter, the second patient was in direct contact with the first one.

Both were part of 10 others who had traveled to Italy and returned to South Africa. The ministry said, they traced all the ten people but the 10th one did not return to the African nation.

The results of the other six people who were part of the group are expected within the next 48 hours according to the statement.

The minister for health Dr. Zwelini Mkhize however said the children of the couple who went to Italy tested negative.

They will however not be allowed to go to school but they will remain in quarantine being monitored until their parents test negative.

These children will also be tested at the end to ascertain that they are negative.
