The number of coronavirus cases in Kenya increased to 126 after four people tested positive on Saturday.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the new patients include three Kenyans and a Pakistani.

"In the last 24 hours, we have tested over 300 people for coronavirus, out of the 372 samples that we have taken,” he stated.

The CS said that two of the patients had travelled to Malawi and Pakistani respectively, while two contracted the disease locally.

Further, the Health CS stated that three of the affected patients were male while one was female with the youngest being 34 years and the oldest being 44 years.

The CS also urged people visiting supermarkets or any other open markets to immediately wear face masks.
