Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved out of intensive care and back into a general ward at St Thomas' Hospital where he will "receive close monitoring" during his early recovery. This is according to Downing Street spokesman.
The UK Premier was taken into intensive care at St Thomas' Hospital in London on Monday night - more than a week after he tested positive for the coronavirus- when his health deteriorated.
Earlier on Thursday, Culture Minister Oliver Dowden said, "Things are getting better for him,” "He's stable, improving, sat up and engaged with medical staff.”
The 55-year-old leader had revealed he had tested positive for the virus on March 27, almost two weeks ago. After initially appearing upbeat and continuing to lead his government via video conferences.
