A plane carrying 68 tonnes of disposable gloves, masks and visors arrived in London ahead of their distribution to the frontline.
The flight packed with personal protective equipment from China arrived in London on Saturday afternoon.
The supplies are expected to go straight into the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The U.K. is one of the worst affected countries by COVID-19, having recorded more than 121,000 cases and over 16,000 deaths.
The flight carrying the supplies was chartered by global freight forwarders Far Logistics after orders were placed by multiple suppliers with manufacturers in Asia.
