Ohio Governor Mike DeWine on Thursday announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19, becoming the second governor to contract the virus after Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt.
"Governor DeWine has no symptoms at the present time," a statement by the governor’s office said.
The statement said the 73-year-old would place himself under quarantine for the next 14 days in line with the laid out COVID-19 protocols.
DeWine had been scheduled to welcome President Donald Trump to Ohio ahead of his visit to a Whirlpool factory in Clyde.
