Developing story: Massive suicide bombing in Mogadishu kills 3

Massive suicide bombing at the 'Blue Sky Cafeteria' in Somalia's capital Mogadishu has killed three and left a dozen injured according to reports.

At approximately 1730 hrs, East African Time, an explosion was reported at Blue Sky Restaurant IVO Hawo Tako Hotel, Bondere, Mogadishu. 

Report further indicate that, the explosion was caused by a Suicide Vest Improvised Explosive Device (SVIED).

The assailant approached a checkpoint adjacent to Blue Sky Restaurant that is an access point to Villa Somalia and detonated. 

A soldier and a child are said to be among those killed in the explosion. There were reports of gunfire following the blast.
