The Carabao Cup match between Leyton Orient and Tottenham Hotspur will not take place on Tuesday as scheduled after a number of Leyton Orient’s first team players tested positive for COVID-19, the English Football League (EFL) confirmed in a statement.

"Discussions are ongoing between the relevant stakeholders in regards to the implications of the decision not to play tonight's game and a further update will be provided in due course," the statement said.

Leyton Orient confirmed on Monday that some of its players had tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the cup tie.

Following the development, Orient’s recent opponents including Plymouth Argyle and Mansfield issued statements saying they will take an additional round of testing as a precaution.
