U.K. police are dealing with a security incident on board an oil tanker off the Isle of Wright.

The Liberian-registered crude-oil vessel, Nave Andromeda, was due to dock in Southampton on Sunday morning.

According to Sky Sports, authorities believe that there are at least half a dozen stowaways on board the tanker.

Rescue helicopters are at the scene, and maritime authorities are assisting police with the search and rescue operation.

A BBC report says the Ministry of Defense said there is no military involvement in the operation.
