A Georgia judge has dismissed a lawsuit lodged by President Donald Trump's campaign team that sought to ensure elections officials were following the law regarding absentee ballots, AP reports.

The campaign team, alongside the Georgia Republican Party, filed the lawsuit against the Chatham County Board of Elections asking the judge to order the county to secure and account for ballots received after 7PM on election day.

According to Georgia laws, ballots must be received by 7PM on Election Day in order to count.
