Arsenal's Thomas Partey is a doubt for Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, having picked up an injury in the Londoners 3-0 loss to Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Black Stars' midfield enforcer was withdrawn at half time after he felt some discomfort in the opening half of the fixture.
Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that Partey will have to wait a doctor's scan before any decision is made about him joining the Black Stars.
"We don't know [the extent] of it," Arsenal.com quotes Arteta. "We have to scan him tomorrow or the day after and see what he felt straight away. Let's wait and see what the magnitude of the injury is."
"I don't know [if he will go away with Ghana now]," he added.
The Black Stars are scheduled to play Sudan twice in crucial games that could see them bolster their chances of progressing from Group C as table toppers.
Ghana are the current leaders of the group with six points from two games.
