BREXIT negotiator Lord David Frost has been appointed to the Cabinet by Boris Johnson, Downing Street has announced.
In January it was announced Lord Frost would become the UK's Brexit and international policy representative to help ensure smooth implementation of the EU trade deal he negotiated with Brussels in 2020.
Downing Street has now confirmed his role will see him become a Minister of State and join Mr. Johnson's top team in Cabinet.
He will formally take up the position on March 1. In his new role he will be responsible for "maximizing the opportunities of Brexit, including on international trade and economic issues".
The far-reaching role will see him coordinating with Brussels on areas of mutual interest, becoming the UK Chair of the Partnership Council and the Withdrawal Agreement Joint Committee, and working on domestic reform to make the most of Britain's freedom from EU rules.
