COVID19 in Kenya: 337 infections reported on Tuesday

Kenya's ministry of health on Tuesday reported that 337 people tested positive to the coronavirus disease, out of a sample size of 2,924 tested in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed positive cases are now 109,164. The cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,336,614. /Getty Images

Kenya's ministry of health on Tuesday reported that 337 people tested positive to the coronavirus disease, out of a sample size of 2,924 tested in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed positive cases are now 109,164. The cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,336,614.

Separately the health ministry further said that 24 patients are on supplementary oxygen, all in the general wards. 565 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide 

1,601 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care.  

86 patients are in ICU, out of which 22 are on ventilatory support 

No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

Kenyans are eagerly waiting for the announcement by President Uhuru Kenyatta on whether the 10:00pm night curfew which is scheduled to end this Friday will be extended or not.
