Manchester City edged closer to winning the 2020/21 Premier League title with a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park Stadium, and may even be declared winners if Manchester United beat Liverpool tomorrow.

The Cityzens cruised to victory thanks to quickfire second half goals from Sergio Aguero and Ferran Torres.

The blues are now on 80 points from 34 games, 13 pints ahead of Manchester United.

A lose for the Red Devils will mean no team will be able to catch up with Pep Guardiola's side even with the four remaining games.

"We can start to put the champagne in the fridge - not to open yet, but to think about it," said Guardiola.

"The Premier League is already there - it is in our hands. We need one more victory, two more points."

The win against Crystal Palace rounded off a perfect week for Manchester City, who also came from behind to beat Paris Saint Germain 2-1 on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg.

Guardiola's charges still have to finish the job at home next week Tuesday as they strive to reach their first ever Champions League final.

Saturday's goal for Aguero also offered good news for Guardiola, who may deploy the Argentine in the remaining Champions League games.
