Stefanos Tsitsipas will compete in his maiden Grand Slam final after defeating Alexander Zverev on Friday to progress to the showpiece of the French Open in Paris.

Tsitsipas won a thrilling five-set match 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-3 in more than three-and-a-half hours to make history as the first Greek to make a major singles final.

At 22 years, 305 days, Tsitsipas is also the youngest Roland Garros men's singles finalist since record 13-time champion Rafael Nadal, who is in action later on Friday against world number one Novak Djokovic.
Nadal, currently level with Swiss Roger Federer on 20 titles, is gunning to become the outright record winner of men's Grand Slams.

Meanwhile, Djokovic is bidding to become the first male player to win every Grand Slam at least twice in the Open era.
