The United Kingdom reported 10 new coronavirus deaths and 7,673 infections on Tuesday. It compares to the three deaths and 7,742 infections recorded on Monday.

Last Tuesday, the UK recorded 13 deaths and 6,048 COVID cases.

Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics on Tuesday show there have been 153,000 deaths cumulatively registered in the UK where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
