Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Thursday appointed Shalom Shlomo as Government Secretary, with the decision scheduled to be approved by the government over the weekend.

Shlomo was one of the longest serving personnel under former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – from 2005 to 2011.

"Shlomo has a Bachelor's Degree in law, has previously served in various positions in public service and in the private sector. The appointment will be submitted for government approval this Sunday," a brief from the Prime Minister's Office said.
