A White House staffer and an aide to Speaker Nancy Pelosi tested positive for COVID-19 this week, The Hill reported on Tuesday.
Neither of the persons had close contact with President Joe Biden or Pelosi, but the Speaker's office said staff members who had come into contact with the COVID-positive colleague have gone into quarantine.
"The entire Press Office is working remotely today with the exception of individuals who have had no exposure to the individual or have had a recent negative test," The Hill quotes Drew Hammill, deputy chief of staff for Pelosi. "Our office will continue to follow the guidance of the Office of Attending Physician closely."
