Expo 2020 Dubai opening ceremony underway

The official ceremony of the Expo 2020 Dubai is underway. Emirati singer and actor Rashed Al Nuaimi opened proceedings by performing the Emirati anthem.

Some of the dignitaries attending the opening ceremony include; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The opening ceremony of the Expo 2020 Dubai is being streamed live at more than 430 locations across the UAE.

Some of the places people can follow the opening ceremony include airports, shopping malls and hotels where live streams have been set up across the UAE.
