Japan's Akane Yamaguchi has defeated China's Chen Yu Fei by two straight sets to win the Women's Singles Final 1 of the Thomas & 2020 Uber Cup.
Japan took the first set 21-18 before racing 21-10 to win the second set.
The 2020 Thomas & Uber Cup Finals have been held this month following delays occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chen came into the tournament in high spirits, having won the women's singles gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where she upset Taiwan's world No. 1 Tai Tzu-ying in the final.
She then followed this up with another gold medal at the China National Games before traveling to Finland for the Sudirman Cup.
China beat Thailand in the semi-finals and Chinese Taipei in the quarter-finals.
