Russian president Vladimir Putin has been revaccinated against COVID-19, according to reports by Russian news agencies.

"Today, on your recommendation and that of your colleagues, I got another vaccination, Sputnik Light," Putin said during meeting on Sunday with the deputy director of the Gamaleya Research Centre for Epidemiology and Microbiology

"This is called revaccination."

In June, Putin said that he had been vaccinated with Sputnik V vaccine after h had previously refused to say which COVID-19 vaccine he had received in March.

At the time, the Kremlin was struggling to convince the public which was skeptical about the benefits of vaccination.
