A total of 2,844 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Kenya from a sample size of 10,215 tested in the last 24 hours according to the data from the ministry of health. The positivity rate is now at 27.8 percent. Total confirmed positive cases are now 267,571 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 2,943,979.
As of Monday this week, a total of 9,057,426 vaccines had so far been administered across the country. Of these, 5,397,849 were partially vaccinated while those fully vaccinated were 3,659,577, according to Kenya's Ministry of Health.
The uptake of the second dose among those who received their first dose was at 56.2 percent. Proportion of adults fully vaccinated was 13.4 percent. The Kenyan government is working towards vaccinating a targeted population of 27,246,033.
