Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio arrived in Tunis on Tuesday for an official visit to Tunisia to discuss bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries.
During his stay in the North African country, Di Maio is scheduled to meet the country's top leaders, including President Kais Saied, Prime Minister Najla Bouden Romdhan and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Jerandi.
Discussions are also expected to cover talks on the situation in Libya and the fight against illegal migration from North Africa to Europe.
