Iran's Ministry of health reported 1,932 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the country's total infections to 6,208,337.

The pandemic also claimed 37 lives in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 131,915, said the update by the Iranian ministry.

A total of 6,053,241 people have recovered from the disease or been discharged from hospitals across the country, while 1,692 remain in intensive care units, according to the ministry.

By Monday, 60,146,546 Iranians have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccines, and 52,725,535 of them have taken two jabs. Meanwhile, 10,675,339 people in the country have received the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The report added that 42,908,102 tests have so far been carried out across the country.
