The Moroccan and Singaporean foreign ministers agreed on Tuesday to enhance the bilateral relationship, on the occasion of celebrating the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties.

During the online meeting, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan reiterated their willingness to further strengthen the political dialogue and emphasize their partnership in the fields of economy, finance and investment, said a statement issued by the Moroccan Foreign Ministry.

They pledged to develop triangular partnership for their respective regions, while hailing mutual support within regional and international organizations, it said.

Bourita expressed his gratitude for Singapore's support to the candidacy of the Moroccan parliament to the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), the statement added.

For his part, Balakrishnan reiterated Singapore's support for Morocco's application for the status of Sectoral Dialogue Partner (SDP) within the ASEAN, or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
