The number of people that have fled Ukraine since the start of Russia's military operation has exceeded the 4.6 million mark, the United Nations health agency said on Wednesday.
The figure was announced by the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, at a press briefing, where he also noted that the conflict has had a devastating impact on healthcare in the eastern European country.
"Health services continue to be severely disrupted, particularly in the East of the country."
"Humanitarian corridors must be established so that medical supplies, food and water can be delivered and civilians can move to safety," he urged.
