AU Commission chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat has called for an urgent dialogue to address the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict. He made the remarks during a phone call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday afternoon.

"I received a call from Russian foreign minister Sergei," tweeted Mahamat. "I stressed for the need to respect international law and urged for dialogue for a peaceful solution to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine."
