Russia is not holding any talks with any states on security guarantees for Ukraine, the country's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.
Lavrov was responding to questions from journalists at a press conference after holding talks with Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
"We are not holding talks with anyone on this issue," the Russian top diplomat said.
"We held negotiations, now they have stalled because five days ago our next proposal that we handed over to Ukrainian negotiators and that was formulated taking into account their commentaries received by that time remains unanswered," he added.
Lavrov's Friday comments came a day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged the world to send more heavy weapons to his country as he addressed the Portuguese parliament virtually.
In a separate meeting, he told leaders of the World Bank and IMF that Ukraine needs $7 billion a month to keep its economy afloat amid the "economic losses" inflicted by Russia.
Russia's ongoing military operation, which was launched on February 24, has lasted eight weeks now.
So far, more than 7.7 million people are estimated to have been internally displaced in Ukraine, while over 5 million others have fled the country.
