Manchester City crowned 2021/22 Premier League champions after defeating Aston Villa 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Manchester City rallied back from behind to secure the title, a fourth in five years.

Steven Gerrard's side took the lead in the 37th minute after Matty Cash raced into the box to head home from a Lucas Digne cross.

Villa doubled their lead in the 69th minute through Philippe Coutinho, instilling fear into City's fans who knew their team needed to win in order to lift the title.

City however had the last laugh after netting thrice in seven minutes to take home maximum points from the game.

On the other hand, Liverpool also beat Wolverhampton 3-1, but with City winning their game, the title remained at the Etihad.
