South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal, which is still reeling from the impact of devastating floods in April, has once again been hit by torrential rain, causing panic.

Parts of the province have experienced heavy downpours since Friday, with reports of some infrastructure already destroyed, especially in the eThekwini region.

Provincial authorities have sounded a warning to residents, urging those in risk zones to evacuate.

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial government said early on Sunday it is already conducing evacuation services in efforts to keep everyone safe during the downpour.

The authorities said the South African National Defense Force has deployed troops to help curb any loss of lives.

Already, some roads have been closed and the provincial government is urging people against traveling at the moment.

The province was hit by devastating floods in April, killing more than 440 people and destroying roads, bridges and buildings.
