Portugal and Manchester United's star Cristiano Ronaldo has asked to be allowed to leave the English Premier League side should the Premier League club receive a satisfactory offer in the transfer window, according to Sky News.
The 37-year-old's decision is reportedly driven by a desire to play in the Champions League for the remainder of his career.
Ronaldo scored 24 goals in 39 games for the "Red Devils" in the 2021-22 season. He returned to Old Trafford in August 2021.
Ronaldo has already played in three of the top five European football leagues – United in Premier League, Real Madrid in La Liga and Juventus in Serie A – and won domestic titles in each of them.
