DR Congo's President Felix Tshisekedi and his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame met in Angola's capital Luanda where they held a tripartite meeting and agreed on a process of de-escalation between both countries at the Luanda Summit in Angola.
The de-escalation is expected to be achieved gradually through what they termed as Luanda roadmap with a spotlight on reviving the DR Congo-Rwanda joint commission.
The road map stipulates a desire to normalize diplomatic relations between Kinshasa and Kigali, provide the immediate cessation of hostilities and stipulate the return of refugees to their country of origin.
