The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Monday published the final list of nominees for the Men's Player of the Year award.

Senegal has contributed the highest number of nominees following the Teranga Lions' first win of the Africa Cup of Nations in February.

Sadio Mane, who scored the winning spot-kick in the final game against Egypt, has been shortlisted for the prestigious award alongside teammates Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy.

Two-time CAF Player of the Year, Mohamed Salah, is the only player from the Egypt team that lost in the final to make it into the list.
