"He left as a boy and returns as a man and a champion," that is how Juventus described Paul Pogba on Monday as they confirmed the Frenchman's return to the club, six years since he departed.

The 29-year-old midfielder was unveiled by Juventus a day after he completed his medical tests.

Pogba has signed a four-year deal with the Bianconeri, and according to reports will be handed the Number 10 jersey previously worn by Paulo Dybala, who left the club this summer.

The France International was signed by Manchester United in the summer of 2016 in a deal worth £89 million.

Prior to signing for United, Pogba was a core part of the Juventus team that won four Serie A titles.

Juventus are hoping Pogba can help take the them back to the the top of Serie A, having lost out on the Scudetto in the last two years.

"Although we parted ways, we never really forgot about each other, and there is something ancestral in the call that after a thousand adventures eventually leads you back home," the statement by Juventus reads.

"Paul is back in Turin. He left as a boy and returns as a man and a champion, but there is one thing that has not changed – the desire to write unforgettable pages of club history together once more."
