Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni on Tuesday said his country will continue trading with Russia.

Museveni made the remarks at a joint press briefing with visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at State House in Entebbe.

"We want to trade with Russia. We want to trade with all countries of the world. We don't believe in being enemies of somebodies enemy," he said.

Lavrov is currently on a tour of Africa tour aimed at strengthening Moscow's ties with the continent.

The Russian Foreign Minister has already visited Egypt and the Republic of Congo. He is also scheduled to visit Ethiopia, where African Union (AU) diplomats said he had invited ambassadors from several member states to a private meeting on Wednesday.
