U.S., British and other troops begin military exercises in Poland

Nearly 2,000 soldiers from six countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia began an operation code-named "Puma-2022" (Puma-22) in New Demba in southeastern Poland on Friday. 

Przemyslaw Lipczynski, spokesman for the 18th Mechanized Division of the Polish Army, said that the purpose of the military exercise is to enhance the interoperability of participating forces and test their ability to cooperate with allies in planning, organizing and conducting tactical operations. 

Lipchinski also said that the exercise scenario which will run until 9th of this month will refer to the experience gained from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
