A magnitude 6.4 aftershock shook the southern Philippines, the U.S. Geological Survey said Sunday, shortly after a powerful quake hit the region and triggered a tsunami alert that sent people fleeing inland.
A series of aftershocks have hit the southern island of Mindanao after a magnitude 7.6 quake struck late on Saturday.
