Hungarian parliament elects head of constitutional court as new president

Hungary's parliament elected Tamas Sulyok, president of the Constitutional Court, as the next president on Monday for a largely ceremonial role, to succeed Katalin Novak who unexpectedly resigned earlier this month.

Sulyok is expected to take his office on March 5.
