Multiple people were injured on Friday after a car plowed into a crowd in central Stuttgart, southwestern Germany, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred in the Olgaeck area of the Stuttgart-Mitte district. Both the police and the fire department confirmed that they were responding to the event.
Local police are conducting an operation on the site. Significant traffic disruptions were expected in the city center.
The driver has been arrested, according to reports of the German newspaper Bild.
