Chinese Ambassador presents President Xi's reply letter to Mnangagwa

On February 26, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding visited Zimbabwe President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa at State House, the official residence of the President in Harare. Ambassador Zhou presented him with Chinese President Xi Jinping's reply letter to Zimbabwean liberation veterans who received Chinese military training in the 1960s and 1970s.

In his reply letter, President Xi Jinping spoke highly of the veterans' dedication to Zimbabwe's national liberation and their contribution to China-Zimbabwe friendship. He emphasized the unbreakable historical bond between the two countries and encouraged the younger generations to cherish and carry forward this precious legacy so as to further deepen friendship and cooperation between China and Zimbabwe.

President Mnangagwa responded warmly and positively, expressing the sincere hope that both sides will work together to uphold their common spiritual legacy. He also highly commended China's support for Zimbabwe's liberation struggle and its socio-economic development after independence.
