Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's largest carrier, said on Monday that it had suspended flights to 10 destinations in the Middle East due to the airspace closures and mounting security concerns in the region.

In a statement, the airline said it had expanded the suspension to six additional cities after initially halting flights to four destinations on Saturday.

The affected routes include Amman, Tel Aviv, Beirut, Dammam, Doha, Bahrain and Kuwait, as well as Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

The suspension will remain in effect until further notice.

The airline urged passengers traveling to or from the region to check their flight status through its official digital platforms to avoid disruption. It added that it was closely monitoring developments and would take further measures as needed to safeguard passengers and crew.
