Israel's attacks on Lebanon have displaced more than 58,000 people, Lebanese authorities said on Tuesday, following a Hezbollah rocket launch that prompted continued strikes by the Israeli military.

The government's disaster management unit said the number of displaced people has doubled since Monday.
