United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday condemned what he described as "unlawful attacks" across the Middle East, as conflict rages on pitting US and Israel against Iran.

Guterres warned that the conflict, currently raging across multiple countries, could spiral out of control.

Aside from the humanitarian toll, he warned that the attacks pose a grave risk to the global economy.

"It is time to stop the fighting and get to serious diplomatic negotiations," he said.
